Thanks for a great trip report, Lizzie. Sounds like a marvelous time. It has been so hot and humid all summer down here, good choice to head north!
We had planned something similar but since we now have a 60lb Lab on board, decided to stay closer to home and make this summer's trip shorter. Only got as far N as Niagara Falls, three weeks total.
I'm making notes for places you stayed for our Gaspe trip in the future. We loved all the Atlantic provinces when we visited in 2012, and will definitely return for a full summer with at least six weeks in Newfoundland next time, (after our whirlwind first trip, just three weeks in NL when we got to meet all the relatives who live there).
