I do not know why the state of oregon does not have a program for people with disibilities just to go camping many other states offer a way in what did oregon do to our goverment for them not to have something like that but if your a vet you can access discounts our rights are going slowly going away rights that our fore fathers made for us to be equal and to be free. your voting for those who are taking away our rights.Thanks, AMERICA!!!!

Get one of the Access Passes for the National Parks, and go to them.

Interesting first post...but, Welcome to the Forum.This is a pet peeve of mine...my neighbor is 'disabled.' Collects various benefits, has a disabled parking pass, doesn't work and hasn't for a long time...His disability...suffers from "stress and anxiety."For Vets - yes, and for 'true' disability, there should be benefits like reduced camping rates, but there are, as with lots of things, abuses of the system.I apologize. The federal program is available in all states. What Oregon decides to do with their parks is entirely their decision. Great thing about RVs is they have wheels.I am a disabled vet and was given an Interagency Access Pass at no charge. Alabama just started the process to add veteran identifiers to the driver's license so veterans will easily be able to show proof for veteran's discounts.

We have a lot of programs to support, sometimes we just have to pay the full fare. :)

Oh, I just heard about food stamps for pets. If your pet is not on food stamps go to your local government office and apply today.

Washington State has a program for disabled vets. Vets can stay free in State Parks if they qualify.

I agree, it's an odd beginners post..
But, disabled vets, service related DO get special treatment from Oregon.

Oregon is full of national forests and all the campgrounds honor the national pass, making it 1/2 price for camping. We use it all the time.
