No hot water flow, what's up

All of a sudden we have no hot water flow at any hot water faucet. All cold water faucets are fine. What's going on???? No changes have been made to winterizing valves or any thing else. All worked fine less than a hour ago.

Check valve on the cold water inlet.
You could try turning off water heater, then relieve pressure by using temperature/ pressure relief valve. The remove plug on Atwood, anode on Suburban. This may allow check valve to relax. Temporary fix only.
I'll try tomorrow, I have turned heat to the heater off until I can get outside to look it over.

Are you somewhere cold? Is the line frozen?
No, No chance of a frozen line.

  • Is there any chance that something bumbed one of the hot water tank diverter valves a person would use when winterising. Most RV's have two valves for diverting antifreeze from the tank, and I'm wondering if there is a way one of those closed off the flow. Ours is under our kitchen sink and it happened to us. Hans

You may have a pretty big leak somewhere - I'd take a good look around inside and out. Last time that happened to me, it wasn't until I noticed the steam outside the galley window that I realized the pressure release valve had popped on the HW heater.

I am using water from my fresh water tank and the pump only runs when cold water faucet is turned on, does not run at all when hot water faucet is turned on.

Does cold water flow through the hot water faucets?
No. There is zero pressure on the hot water side of any faucet.

Same problem on both A/C and propane?
