*NO* Labor Day Horror stories!

(IMO)
There's *NO* weekday or weekend that we will not go camping!

So, let's hear from all those that were camping this weekend and found:

1. No loud music.
2. No late night parties.
3. No drunks.
4. No screeming kids.
5. No dogs pooping in your camp site.
6. No "stuff" stolen.
7. Great, friendly campground - campers AND the mgmt.
8. Traffic was no problem - or not more than usual.
9. In addition to #1-8, neighbors observed generator "quiet times".
10. Nothing broke and I had a great experience!

Who wants to go first?
Special prize if you can check all (or most) of the above, LOL!

BTW -
The Special Prize?

You have already won!
Your POSITIVE ATTITUDE speaks for itself..:C

Timing wasn't right for us this year, last year's Labor Day Weekend, couldn't check any of those, guess I'm not in the running for that prize. Enjoyed every bit of thos 100 degrees as well!
  • How dull it would be without kids, dogs and drunks. Come on, if ya want total quiet, no neighbors having a good time, no pets barking and playing (pooping)you should stay home with the curtains drawn tight. Who doesn't get a good laugh at some drunk tripping over thier feet and knocking down a tent, big table, the spouse, or even smacking their head on the side of the RV? What about all those kids running around, riding bikes, playing games, laughing, screaming and singing around a campfire at night. Ya gotta have those kids.

The great thing about an RV is you can go inside, turn the AC full blast, turn on your TV with surround sound, and shut the world out if ya wanna be alone. I would rather be outside watching all the fun, gettin drunk and makin an ass out of myself.
  • Yup, we had a great trip! We avoided most of the bad traffic Friday afternoon by taking side roads... took us a little longer, but less time than it would have been sitting in traffic plus none of the aggravation. Enjoyed a nice long weekend at a great RV park with friends and family. Watched football, had some great food, enjoyed an all day campfire, and generally had a good time!
  • I can check them all off. We had an awesome weekend and bonus we saw a great kite festival with some great kites flying. Yes it did rain off and on but that didn't stop us.
  • All except #8. Had a great time, no noise, barking dogs, stereos etc. Very relaxing. But we did have massive traffic issues coming and going. Bad accident tied up the highway for hours both times. Heading home we took an alternate route that bypassed most of the problem areas but not all.
  • Don't worry. The early reports are just coming in.

Well. I do not know if "Went Camping" applies since I'm stuck here till I can raise 10 grand for a new engine (Expected about 2 years)

But we had no problems here.. Darling daughter dropped by for a visit,, Weather was decent (Today was wild but yesterday was decent) Church was good on Sunday.. I flew the flag up till storm time today (Brought it in about 5 minutes before all heaven broke loose) Lit it up at night with an LED flood light like you are supposed to.

    All good.
  • We were so remote....... they had to pump sun light to us.
We were so far up a dirt road we couldn't leave tracks.

    Didn't see anyone all weekend.
  • All except #4, we found all of the list.

#4 is music to our "grandparents in waiting" ears. Besides they all left yesterday.

#4 gives life to the campground.
