If they are just quick checking their email, give them your Mi-fi password and move on with life.
Check your contract but I wouldn't hold your breath.
Normal pay-as-you-go campgrounds generally won't do this as it turns customers off (may still be lousy service). If the customer isn't happy, they won't come back. But they have your money already. If they tick you off enough that you stop coming, they can resell that site and make more money. They actually have an incentive for your to go away.
