We have gotten our money's worth out of our membership. Have been to all of their CGs except one. A few of them are actually quite nice like Maple Grove and Ponderosa Pines (a couple are the opposite tho.). We have long since paid off the membership cost and don't have to pay for every night we use one of their CGs now so that is the nice part.
It's the amenities you get, the condition of the property and sites, the level of service, lack of enforcement of rules, etc. that they provide at Beachwood that sux. It doesn't improve each year, it appears to get worse. I could go on at length about the cons but maybe another day. They are VERY inconsistent between CGs too.
Yes, they have member's money and there's little incentive to improve things. We chuckle every time we see prospective new members being shown around the CG in their golf carts.
We bought a Thousand Trails membership this year to try out. Some of their CGs are quite nice, as long as you don't mind things like few full hookups available, low voltage and low water pressure for example. Quite different in comparison to KM Resort's Beachwood CG.
