No Overnight Parking at Interstate Rest Areas
I know a number of states do not allow overnight parking at the state-run rest areas along the interstates. Has anyone been asked to leave one of these locations during the night? We've stayed in them...

Actually, the interstate system was built for the military, not truckers. Eisenhower built it for mobilization purposes in case of war after seeing the autobahn in Germany.
As a matter of fact, the original interstate plans called for a section to be straight and level for 1 mile every so often. That was so it could be used as an emergency landing strip in case of combat need.
