I've waved at other motorcyclists for over 55 years and usually got a wave back. I think the reason RVers do not acknoledge a wave is because they can't see you.
It is obvious when a motorcyclists waves but it is also very hard, when driving an RV, to see someone through a windshield of a truck until you are almost even with them and then there is no time to wave back.
