Noisy RV Rooftop A/C unit

Do all RV A/C units sound like you are standing next to a 747 at full engine run up. The unit does not vibrate. Although one can perceive a difference in the rpm of the blower at low, med, and high settings even low is much to noisy to run for very long. I have cleaned the inside filter.

  • Yes they are noisy but then again it is right there...not outside in backyard on a pad.

Really noisy.....remove ceiling grill and check function of blower fan wheel (turn fan on with grill removed and watch for excessive movement/wobble) also check duct work leaving discharge plenum (loose materiel, loose ducts etc.)

And make sure registers are open & flowing air.....restriction will cause noisy fan
  • Ours is kind of like that. If we need it on at night, we run the one in the front so it is less noisy in the bedroom.
