We left Florida on March 18 arriving home on March 21st.
All was well until we got to Syracuse NY when we encountered SNOW. Haven't driven in snow for years. A scary experience for someone who is a snow coward.
Drove through the snow to home,probably aging a few years along the way. Got to our parking spot and found banked snow and ice covering part of my space. We drive a roadtrek, but it was still a challenge getting into my parking space with the Roadtrek sliding sideways on the ice. After parking, we found we could not open the drivers side door because of the snow bank and could not open the passenger side door because we were too close to the neighbour. Good thing we have a back door.
We are now sitting at home with 3 feet of snow in our yard and it is cold. Can't understand how anyone can live in this climate for months at a time. We have been home for a couple of weeks,and already winter is tooooooo long.
Time to make plans to return to Florida in the fall.
