Northwest trip Ended
The Eagle has Landed.
We started our trip on April 15, 2016 in Show Low AZ finished in Nampa Id on Aug 8.
Our goal was to move from AZ to Boise area and put our household goods in storage here in ID and then while we were "homeless" take some time to travel.
We spent a couple of weeks in Boise, 5 weeks on the Oregon coast a week in Roseburg OR. Then we did Mt. St Helens, Mt Rainer and a few days in Walla Walla WA. We then went to N. Idaho and had a rainy week on the beautiful Lochsa River. Staying at each location at least 3 days.
Missoula MT was next to re-group do laundry and dry out. After Missoula was Lake Ennis then Island Park ID so I could fish the Henry's Fork River. Five days there in a great campground right on the river.
From there we traveled to Jackson WY with a short stop in Palisades ID on the Snake River, we then entered the Grand Teton NP. This for me was a surprise favorite and we spent 5 days there. After Tetons we spent 8 days in Yellowstone NP then moved to Idaho Falls Id , Lost River valley in ID was next and a short drive through the Craters of the Moon NM. The last stop was the Big Wood River/Ketchum Id.
We were going to finish with 5 days on the Payette River north of Boise but a wildfire there cancelled that part of our trip.
We put about 8,000 miles on the truck and trailer and did not have any issues except a water heater repair in Astoria OR.
We are now in Nampa ID in a nice RV park with great staff, the only problem in the Freeway is toooooo close. We will get use to it though.
We will start looking for a new permanent place to move into soon. We will probably be here in the park for a month or so.
We are looking forward to living in and traveling throughout this beautiful state.
