I suspect some of the more popular parks operate at a profit. One of the things I keep complaining about, have been for years is "Across the board" cuts.
For example... One governmental division I know of, in it's prime, returned 4.00 to the treasury for every 1.00 spent.. A 400% return.. So what did they do?
Across the board cut it out of existence of course.
Makes sense to me.... NOT.
Note, this may sound like a political statement, but the fact is, Both parties had a hand in it, roughly an equal hand, so it's a balanced comment.
Take a park that is sold out 75% of the summer..> Close it so you get no income from it.. Yup, that is the way to save money all right.
