reminds me of the bean counters at North West Airlines. my BIL was a pilot for them and said that one of their routes, Fargo/seattle or some such was audited and the bean counters noted that for years this route had absolutely no increase in passengers so they dropped it. of course this route always had totally full flights so there was no way ridership could increase. :s
