A bee flew in the side window, hit my shoulder, and dropped into my shirt pocket. Road was empty, thankfully, as I came to a dusty, full brake, stop, jumping out of the car and tearing off my shirt before the dazed bee came around enough to decide to be upset and sting me.
Many years back my (then) wife and I were riding my sport bike back home from our family farm, it was a beautiful warm summer evening just before dark. In the distance I could see a big fat bumblebee heading straight for my high beam (to catch the eyes of deer or other critters) and no matter which way I moved in the lane that bee was vectored straight on at me.
At the very last second, and with the bee heading straight at my face, I tipped my head way over to the side to let it harmlessly go past me.
Big mistake!
It nailed my wife right smack between the eyes, thankfully she was wearing a full-face helmet, and it apparently sounded like a gunshot and instantly created a blinding splatter on her visor. Her instincts kicked in and I received a very hearty rendition of the Heimlich Manouver at 60 mph as she gripped my waist for all she was worth!
