Got off work pulling a double , now had hour and a half drive home.
Moonless night so it dark as can be, all I saw was the flash BANG then only one headlight shining straight ahead.
After saying a few choice words looking in my mirror and seeing a deer fling off the road I continued on down the mountain, figured if it got the radiator the temp gauge would rise.
Another 25 miles into town I come up to a T stop. Made a right turn , no rub so thought maybe it wasn't as bad as I thought, pull up to main street made another right turn, still no rubbing.
Next light made wide left turn , no noise/rubbing.
Two blocks down had to make a hard left to pull onto side street to park by the post office to get my weekly mail and that's when the loud screech noise came in.
There was a bar right across the side street , about 4-5 people out front smoking their cigs starting pointing and laughing.
When I got out they were all cheering me, yelled nice trophy ?!
I'm thinking what the heck are they talking about, they started walking over to me and I thought awe **** this ain't going to be good.
They walk around to the front of my truck pointing and laughing at the antler sticking in my hood/grille, 4 pointer , but it was broke/sheered off.
Yep grille busted out , hood crumpled up, left fender peeled back, headlight assembly hanging by the bulb wires and bumper bent back just enough that the tire only rubbed making a hard left turn...
Now to think back that would have been a good Farmers Insurance commercial...
When you started this story I thought you were going to say there was a second deer and that you were dragging it the entire time.
