Off Clip-On Mosquito?

Has anyone tried the new Off Clip-On Mosquito repellant thingy?

We have the Thermocell repellents and they really do work. Just wondering about the Off Clip-On.
  • Are these those kind with little fans or something that "circulate repellant"???

If so, is inhaling that stuff GOOD for you???
  • I use mosquito bait (DW) to lure them away from me.

I never need any repellant etc.

She tries all kinds of stuff, but none of it seems to work for her.
  • No doubt Deet works, but I don't like the sticky residue. Thermacell & OFF Clip on's work for us. :)
  • Well, their mosquitoes must be a different breed than ours!!! I sat between two people that had them on, I had Deet on.....they were getting swarmed and the skeeters stayed away from me....... :)
  • X2 on Thermocell. I've used the clip-on Off "thingy":D but not with much luck. ThermoCell on the other hand work great. I had one Turkey hunting one time and I after sitting in the woods for an hour at sunrise one morning, I thought to myself..."huh, no mosquitoes" and turned it off, left it by a tree and put a sneak on a turkey. Big mistake within one minute of leaving that tree and my Thermocell...mosquito cloud!!!

I've also had luck with Skin-so-soft but have not used in many many years.
  • we also use the Thermo-cell with good results, and the OFF candle ones with the pads like the thermo-cell.

As far as spray-on repellant the best I have ever used Hands Down is a 50/50 mixture of Skin so soft and rubbing alchohol!
It keeps your skin soft and not sticky and is actually good for your skin unlike anything with Deet in it.

I spent more than 20 years in the Army and have used this mixture on 6 of the 7 continents and various islands with awesome results!
  • We've been using them for about a year, with mostly good results. But -- nothing is as effective as spraying yourself with a DEET insect repellant like Off. Hate the sticky residue (and perfumy smell), though, so we use the clip-ons instead. Better than nothing, less than perfect.
