It can’t hurt to change it frequently but no way to show it is the reason for such longevity. You can however prove that not changing it was the cause of a given issue.
For me it’s the greater of 5k miles or what the manual says. Oils are too good now to change any sooner.
x2. My uncle's '72 Chevy 350 has over 400k miles and he is terrible about regular service. Sometimes the oil isn't on the stick. The only thing done to the engine was the timing chain when the original nylon-toothed sprocket came apart at ~220k.
