We just spent 5 glorious days in an extremely popular campground and had absolutely no issues with any of our fellow campers. I think the trick is in what days we go. I usually book from Sunday night to Friday morning. That way we avoid the "Weekend Warriors" who assault the campground in their quest to have a much "fun" as they can in the short time allowed. Another factor for our quiet time was that the kiddies were still in school. In a few short weeks the campgrounds will be full of families trying to wrest as much fun from the campgrounds as they can. We studiously avoid camping on a holiday weekend.
