One lane, two-way?

As usual the spectrum was covered :) From don't do it at all to you'll need an escort to go ahead they'll get out of the way.

I travel solo, there's no one to send ahead as an escort.

The best advice I feel are the ones advising patience.

When towing and the other person is not, they can either back up, or I will move over as far as I feel comfortable with road and overhead, then they can choose to back up or try to pass on the berm or whatever. Up to them.

Now I did have a situation 2 summers ago where a young girl drove up and took my turning space when I was in mid-swing on a narrow 90deg turn and then tried to wave me to come on.

There was some hand waving on her part, some inching over, then eventually pulling to the edge, but pretty sure she realized her mistake when I did (barely) make the swing, nearly taking her mirror with me. I was on a solid 9% plus grade, utility trailer fully loaded, and already into the corner.

Sometimes it takes a bit of time for non-towers to realize the situation, but I have all day vs damaging my rig ;)

Now I am also the guy who quickly and often first finds a pull off when someone is coming the opposite direction and I can manage it- whether I'm towing or not.

Tip: If you are SURE there isn't room to pass, stay in the middle of the narrow road with your lights on. Otherwise, you *know* someone will try to squeeze and get you both into a problem :E

Anyone driving the road will be familiar with it and understand the hazards and limitations. You never know what will come in the opposite direction, especially on roads like this. Oncoming traffic, may be pi$$ed off at you, but they also know the risks in driving it too.

I'd drive and and not give it a second though!

This is what we did. The road was one way and only served the RV resort so most all traffic included trailers. Our vehicle in front came upon an RV that waited in a turnout for us to go by. Used that process both coming and going.

rI have always pulled off the road when I get in a spot like that...

Short funny story:

When I was in college we had a "Bad weather" Morning.

I'm in my Physics Professor's office which he shares with Chemistry and Biology.

Some classmates come in and want him to cancel the afternoon LAB due to the weather (Roads had long been cleared by road comission)

I told them I got there at 7:30 same as always, Made the first pot of coffee in teh student center (which opened at 8am) They reminded me I only lived a short distance away (Bought 1 mile) and I walked.

I told them "Mr. Thorton (Biology) Was sitting here smoking his pipe when I walked past at 7:30 "Well he probble lives across the road"

NO. He lived in Colon, MI, Magic Capitol of the world. home of Abbot's Magic Factory. (College was Cornflake U (Kellogg Community) in Battle Creek, about an hour out of Colon)

Well he likely lives on the main road.. No again.
I've driven past his house, in a Ford F-350 Custom (10,000 pound Max GVW StrAight truck) and the trees were slaping the mirrors.. IN STEREO the road is that wide.. When the school bus came the other way we pulled off into the ditch to let them pass).


Oh the punch line.. Mr. Thorton drives a JEEP.

I yield the right away to anyone who wants it. No need to ever force the issue.
