This is a campground owned and operated by Pickens County. It's about a half hour north of Clemson University. Maybe an hour and a half west of Spartanburg. If you travel with a canoe or kayaks, it would make this a really special spot. There isn't much nearby at all, but Lake Jocassee is just to the north and has to be one of the prettiest mountain lakes in the country. There's a boat rental there that would make an awesome summer day. Many mountain activities are within an hour as well. I've got more photos I could send anyone serious about reserving there. Most spots were pretty tight, even for our small trailer, but there were at least 8-10 that could handle large.
I got 9.7mpg per the computer (which I find to be within a tenth on every tank). I was hoping that in the flat I might get a hair better, and it seems your data supports that. Although, I almost never tow in flat land. I'm encouraged by your experience going to Florida none the less. We have a 5-6,000 mile trip coming this summer and even one or two mpg's better for the majority of that trip would be welcomed. ;)
Glad to see everyone is enjoying the photos! Especially you guys covered in snow. Not sure how ya'll get through winter, but I know you feel the same about our summers. :)
