One Reason to Love Volunteering with the NPS - Park Rangers!

We are scheduled to Volunteer at Andersonville NHS. I posted the below on a Twitter site I maintain.

@RVVolunteers
A winter tour at Andersonville National Historic Site has been confirmed. So much history, so little time. But, time to be cherished. - 22 Jul

Out of the Blue, a young Ranger responded to the above comment with this:

@cwbarr
@RVVolunteers we can't wait to have y'all. Looking forward to meeting you. I'm one of the rangers at ANDE. Welcome aboard!

NPS Park Rangers are a Class Act! A little thing, but to me it is really cool.

That brief comment speaks volumes. What a special group of young people, doing a special job! For not a lot of $$$$

Chris is a very fine rep for the NPS.

  • volunteered at many NPS sites around the country and always found the park rangers to be first class
  • Looking forward to info about your experience there. Sees like it would be fascinating.
  • Andersonville is a sobering and haunting place but I love visiting there. Enjoy your time there.
