My OOPS didn't turn out as good as yours haha...
When parked here at the house we keep using the fridge/freezer connected to the house 20AMP service...
Then one of those hurricanes came up the East coast and knocked out our power for about a week here in Northern Neck VA.
We survived the power outage just fine using a couple of Power Inverters and large battery bank on my other OFF-ROAD POPUP trailer. Then once a day would run the 2KW Generator to re-charge those batteries and run the house fridge at the same time the generator was running.
About four days into to the power failure I was walking out near the woods and got the strong smell of something dead. My thoughts was a deer or something had died in my woods. Doing some checking around I couldn't find anything in the woods and then it dawned on me it was coming from the parked trailer next to the woods.
Sure enough the smell was what was left from a 14lb turkey in the freezer... Never thought about the parked trailer when the power went off haha...
We cleaned and cleaned and never could really get rid of the dissolved turkey smell. I field stripped the fridge much like what you did and cleaned and cleaned. We are still using the fridge but when it is first opened up you get a very small whiff of the smell sometimes. Open can of coffee grinds did the best over time...
I really should replace the fridge but it is not on the road anymore and the fifth wheel is used only as a get-away place for us and the visiting kids.
