FWIW, if you upgrade axles you may need new tires/rims which will add to the expense.
A friend has a Cedar Creek with the same undersize axle problem. He pulled it all over the country and kept having problems. Had it professionally service and the repair guy couldn't believe it to the point he called the maker. Cedar Creek told him that they don't expect people to tow with full tanks. :h
