To me the main difference is the 5er reacts slower. You have to be patient and take your time. I actually watched some you-tube videos on how they backup. I would suggest you do the same, they were actually very helpful.

You are correct for some it takes a couple of trailers to find the right one. I have gone through 3 travel trailers in last 9 years trying to find the right floor plan. We decided to go with the 5er because it offered more space, and from what I had heard it tows and backs up much better. Just take your time in choosing what you want and what is right for your family.
