Opinions on 3400 champion inverter generator.
In the market for genny for 3 or 4 times a year boon docking. About 1000 dollars. Any opinions on it? Would appreciate in advance.

I would say that after listening to the Champion, Honda, and Yamaha, all ~3000 watt models... they are pretty much the same, noise-wise. I would go with a Champion, either the remote start, or the dual fuel, because with the dual fuel model, you can "blast out" the carb by running it a few minutes on propane before storing it. This way, there is no way for the carb to get gummed up.
