I had a heat strip on a Carrier A/C unit and found it worthless for heating if you want to warm up a cold coach. The fan blowing across the heat strip really negated it's effectiveness. With that said, for what you want to do, it will probably give just enough heat.
Now here's something to think about.....you're turning on the A/C fan to drown out the outside noise, but everyone else has to listen to your A/C run all night during the winter.
I think for your purposes, I would get a white noise machine. Our friends let their bath fan run for white noise.
