We have a pretty much useless heat strip in ours. The first time we tried it out, we were out and about on a very cold day and left the heat strip going to try to keep it warm in the camper. When we returned at 8pm, it was 23 degrees outside and not much higher inside. Thoroughly disgusted, we turned off the heat strip and turned on the little ceramic heater. In just about 20 min that little heater had it nice and toasty-roasty. That was the first and last time I ever used the heat strip.
