The ordinance quoted by Gene&Ginny states: "The storage of a MOBILE HOME, TRAVEL TRAILER, RECREATIONAL VEHICLE or boat...".
I would suggest consulting an attorney and see if a distinction can be made between "storing" and "parking". "Storing" to me implies long term, put a tarp over it, etc. with the intention of using it sometime in the far off future. "Parking" means it's ready to go at a moment's notice (well, in whatever manner an RV can leave at a moment's notice :) ). You want to "park" your motorhome so if you want to use it for an extended shopping excursion, it's ready to go.
By any chance do you live in or near Atwater Place in the city. I could understand a high "snob factor" there. I believe several politicians live in that section, including our congressman.

P.S. Oh...CCRs are Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions. We do have a few developments in our town which have them.
