I highly recommend the Maritime Museum in Astoria. And then take the Astoria Waterfront Trolly and the trolly volunteers will give you the scoop on the area. At the east end of the run walk out on the pier and see the salmon industry museum and then food and beer at the Rogue Nation (we're card carrying members). I’ve seen rigs parked at the Maritime Museum during the day and all of this is also good for kids.
Two good CGs in the area: Lewis and Clark Golf and RV Park and Fort Stevens State Park. I really liked the kayak tour on Coffenbury Lake (Ft Stevens).
