FYI - State Parks in Oregon are the finest in the USA and we have gotten pampered. I personally prefer the State Parks because I like environment that combines large sites with lots of trees - you don't find that often in private parks.

Yes they are great and have been to a few. Some of the Thousand Trails CGs along the coast are overgrown with trees so bad you'd think you're in a jungle with ancient trees. Some of their CGs are on lease land and they aren't allowed to cut or trim trees.

Anyway, not trying out a "commercial" CG because someone thinks they're going to be crammed together like sardines and have few trees isn't necessarily the case. We too like neighbors to be some distance away and have lots of trees as well as great staff and amenities.
