We bought a new 5th wheel on April 15th. We were already thinking about it, but we got an even better deal than they had offered us when we first started talking with the dealer, just before St. Patrick's Day (last weekend before our state shut down). Interest rate was very appealing as well.
But, we are some of the lucky ones. We are both still working without any interruptions, husband already worked remotely anyway and I shifted from 1-2 days a week at home to every day. We actually have more money right now than usual, because this time of year we go to a lot of sporting events, like hockey playoffs and baseball, and that is all cancelled/postponed. All concerts we had tickets to are cancelled or postponed. I'm not commuting to work so I'm not paying gas or tolls. My house cleaner has cancelled so that's even more money I'm not spending.
We could also live in our new 5th wheel if it came down to it. So it's also a bit of a backup plan for us if things got really desperate. But again, we've been so fortunate to not be anywhere near that sort of desperation.
