We've had to stop booking several campgrounds we used to like because of the proliferation of drunks and their behaviour. Often sitting drunk while their kids terrorize and destroy. It's sad but we do still find quiet nights ocassionlly. The lesson for us is avoid summer season. That is when the bad stuff usually happens. June and September we love and the Cg is usually full of good folks. We once watched a group very drunk mid day in a provincial park- swearing - barfing. I said to my wife grab a chair this should be fun to watch. The park rangers came and warned them then after the idiots kept it up came and evicted them. They said they wouldn't leave because they were too drunk to drive. Ranger said you leave or the police will take you to jail. One fool got on his motorcycle and drove slo mo into a tree and the rest piled into a pickup where the police met and arrested them at the exit. Sweet. They were done and gone about 2pm after that great display a lovely family replaced them who were waiting for an overflow spot. Long weekend in July.
