Soooo, rinse off the kids, dog, feet, or whatever and then walk around the rig in the sand, dirt, etc and get in the rig. Never quite worked out for us.
Ours in on the back of the travel trailer (Starcraft 235fb). I think that is the perfect location, because we can set up our shower tent and it isn't in the way, but it isn't on the opposite side of the TT entry door either. And when we use it to hook up to our outdoor portable kitchen sink, a short hose gets it to the curb side of the trailer.
I agree with you that having it on the street side of the RV kind of defeats its utility.
