Outside wall damage advice

So, I have a gouge on the outside wall to be fixed. It is about 3 inches high and 1/4" deep.
Trailer is 2019 Montana 330RL
Can I get a color match filler?
What about the gel coat?

thx

Any good body repair product.. If the siding is fiberglass go with a fiberglass boat fixer or have a body man do it. a GOod body man can fix the gouge in the AM and paint it in the PM total labor about an hour about 90 in materials.
(the paint is expensive unless you get lucky and it's a standard "Dupli-color" color odds of that ... SLIM).
  • Filon repair is not difficult or time consuming for those that know how to do it. I had a couple of spots fixed by my dealer who has a guy come in once a month just for this pupose. Same guy goes around to a bunch of dealers.
They had the trailer 2 days - mostly just waiting for temps to warm up in the shop.

Odd spot for a reflector I think. Bullet hole decal sounds cool, have to pass that by the wife.......

well then... how about one of these - outdoor lights

  • I like The Bear's idea of reflectors... If not those then perhaps those bullet-hole decal thingys...LOL.
  • I had a gouge from a tree branch high up on my trailer. It was a perfect spot to do the following; I took sealant and filled in the gouge, let it dry and then stuck a self adhesive reflector similar to these

I put one on the opposite side in the same location for aesthetics.
  • They make little gel-coat kits that you can blend to match. MFGs, at least with boats usually offer color matched repair kits as well.
Is it true fiberglass and gel coat or Filon?
Never repaired Filon, but guessing hard to match since you'd be sanding smooth and filon has visible fibers in its appearance. If it's gel, then that's a repair that's able to be cosmetically repaired with gelcoat patch. And fairly easy DIY if you're at all familiar with auto body type work.

If it's filon, I'd try to get a bit more creative, depending on the location of the gouge. Something like fill it flat with some bondo and put a decal over it, or maybe you could install an additional "vent" or fake cover plate??
    Just spitballing here.
