We have a high number of homeless in the area. They live along the river and come further in for food and such. It's fairly pleasant for winters - only the occasional cold spurt that takes us below zero. No snow.
I believe it happened late last week as I remember dogs in the neighborhood barking more than usual. I don't think at this point the police could do anything - there's no way to know who it was unless they try to match handwriting.
If I hear or see anything that indicates he's come back, I'll call and offer him a warm blanket and food to find another bed, but for now, there's not much use in reporting it other than creating paperwork for the police.
