Overnighting around Augusta, GA or SC
Never overnighted before. Leaving from Chattanooga,Tn to Myrtle Beach. I plan to leave right after work and hope to make it to Augusta before stopping for the night. Does anyone know the law...

AH Stephens State park in Crawfordville, GA. And there is a Georgia rest area just before exit #183. If you weren't getting such a late start I'd suggest Barnyard in Columbia SC. I know its longer (15-20 miles) but you could go up I-85 & back down I-26, stop at Lake Hartwell KOA. We did that once when we had to leave late.
