Owning 2 RV's

For the last 15 yrs I have had a 30 ft TT or larger and also a 22 ft MH Class C.

I understand what your saying. I think I have most of what I will need already. The insurance, maintenance and storage is a consideration. I think I'll try it for a while and see how it goes. If it becomes too much one will have to go.

For the last 50+ years, we have always had 2 or more RV's at the same time. Like the 36' Carriage 5th wheel, a 29' Carriage Carrilite 5th wheel, a 34' Allegro MH, and the Lance TC.

Always had at least one truck camper owned constantly since 1965 as they are so fabulous for long driving trips or for a few day trips. The 5th wheels are for longer stay trips or wintering a couple months in Florida. The MH RV was more of a take the family and grand kids, up to 10 in the MH, like to Florida to get on a cruise or for tailgating at college football games.

Taking a lot of people in the MH 1500 miles for a cruise is so much cheaper than buying airline tickets for all of them and the kids got to see the country at the same time rather then sitting in airports and riding bus transfers to the ship. Had bathroom facilities and food of our choice right there with us. Always were able to park the MH within walking distance of the ship pulling or carrying our luggage. several places, right across the dock parking lot from the ship.

Still have 2-3 RV's even at our age of 75 today. Can also pull a boat behind the TC rig and easily launch it too.

No one type of RV does everything reasonably the best or at all! Different strokes for different wants, desires, and needs! Same with our having several different type boats at the same time! Only going to live ONCE on this Earth and then it's all over!

Do what my Dad would do - he'd tell her he was just borrowing it from someone. Then after a year or two Mom would ask if he was still borrowing it and he'd tell her yes, still borrowing it.

I would recommend just getting rid of the bigger one if it isn't working for you - a lot less expense and that's a lot of duplication in supplies or else transferring the stuff back and forth.... more cost for insurance, maintenance, tires, etc.

We used your wonderful Provincial parks in Canada and the Yukon and our 40' fit just fine in the parks we chose. No, you won't fit in every one but there are plenty out there that you will.

It's only a lack of funds that prevent me from having two RV's. The second one would be one million dollar Foretravel 45 ft DP. That way I could paint the other yellow.

Yep, I hate to admit it, but we have two RVs. The 2016 Journey is our snowbird and extended trip unit. We have the Outback for our summer boondocker and bouncing into the Colorado back country.

I'm single. Have a 30 foot Motor Home that I live in, and for longer stays when I go up to Utah for summers. To just travel around I have a 17 foot Casita. when I go to Utah the Casita stays in storage, and when I get back the Casita is on the move. And in this park I'm at now a lot of couples are doing the same thin, but with little bite bigger trailers.
