Deb and Ed M,
We've always had more than one RV at any time since about 1970 and at times 4 RV's and 2 cabined boats (one powered cruiser and one sailboat) at a local marina/yacht club that we owned the condo docks/units at. Each recreational item was always stocked and ready to go with everything and including small appliances, dishes and silverware etc, linnens and towels, reasonable long lasting staple etc foods, and even a TV in several of the units but not perishables and some of the personal clothes that were appropriate for the weather at the time. Too much work to move stuff back and forth constantly even though most of the various units were within a 5 mile circle. The bad probably was that it meant spending some money additionally but for us these good aspects of being ready to go at any time with any of the units, having owned and accessible backup items close by if one would fail or burn out and not having to instantly go to a store and buy another, etc was worth every dime initially spent many times over.
The down side now at our age (72) and aging bodies is that we have finally pared down to one main trailerable boat we keep at home and 2 RV's presently (sold the 3rd back in Aug 2013 and the 4th had a tree fall on it on our acreage up north a couple years ago). Also had sold the condo dock units at the yacht club a few years ago as they weren't needed anymore. Wife's disability has stopped her from being up high in a rocking boat or healing in the 34' sailboat. But happily, she is still comfortable in the low to the water soft riding trailerable boat. Do what you gotta do! Just have to be careful and avoid any pounding.
Well! We now have our nice large pole building on our home property and two rooms in our lower walkout level stacked with the stuff taken out of the many sold boats and RV's etc and don't really want to sell the "stuff" as who knows what is just over the horizon for us as we aren't about to sit in our rocking chairs and just waiting to die! Didn't help that we also had sold one of our condo properties up north and guess where all that "stuff" is now also? Just think about the eureka our kids will inherit and it's all good "stuff".
If you're comfortable with stocking both RV's, why not? You're still young and want to use the fruits of your labor every time you get the chance. If you're already to go on the spur of the moment, it's so much easier and fun and you'll likely do it a lot more often! You're not going to get any younger and that's 100% guaranteed! All work and no play will age you even faster and then they close your casket. DUH! tooooo late....
