Oxidation and Waxing

Well I tried the Red Max...cleaned and washed off well (or so I thought)...and then applied the Red Max...looked good for a couple of months then the side in storage that sits facing the south started flaking...So I took it off...Then took MH to a place that says sure we can get rid of the oxidation and then put a good Marine Wax on it...Well they put the marine wax on...but not sure they did any more than give a passing glance to the oxidation...Well I guess since I don't want to strip a new wax I am stuck for a while...not sure what else to do...suggestions??

  • Red Max and Zep were meant for interior floors only. I emailed the company and asked and they specifically said not for use on fiberglass or any exterior surface. Strip it all off if not already done (the new wax too) if the new wax was put on over the Red Max. Clean the camper well with a rubbing compound to rid the oxidation and follow with a good wax made for fiberglass and for exterior use. Lots of work, but necessary for maintenance. Good Luck!
