I will guess that not all couples work together at Amazon and in the campground there would be a pet sitter that would walk the pet for a small fee. Enough pets and the sitter may make better money than the Amazon worker. When in Alaska there were pet sitters for pet owners that were taking the all day boat tours and I think they made pretty good money.
