Are we now upset because of how the vote (or don't vote) on any particular piece of legislation. Maybe we should have done some due diligence into each politician we vote for. Instead of voting for extreme political positions, we should be looking closer at politician who can negotiate a deal and get some positive action accomplished.
As for the near 42% of voting age citizens who DID NOT vote in the last presidential election, Well what can I say - you're stuck with whatever results we, the actual voters, decide.
Well said. Just reading the resumes of some of the folks elected in the past couple of elections makes me wonder how anyone could have imagined they would become knowledgeable elected officials. And IMHO that includes comedians elected to the US Senate. Not all poor choices are made by conservatives.
