NO... I cannot say no loud enough. This is poor advice. Driving an unregistered vehicle is illegal in every state and opens you up to a citation and impoundment of the vehicle.
It's impossible to say just how wrong you are. Why you insist on being wrong so loudly is a mystery to all but you. But, a single counterexample will prove it.
The State of Michigan says:
You do not need a license plate to drive a newly purchased vehicle directly home within Michigan within three days of purchase. Carry the assigned title and proof of insurance with you.
(you get a plate when it's registered)
Heck, if you're in Wisconsin, you may not even need a title or registration, ever.A title and registration is not required for trailers operated at or less than 3,000 pounds gross weight unless used for hire or rental.
Awesome examples Mike, thanks...
#1 Refers to purchasing a vehicle in the state of Michigan and driving within Michigan. Irrelevant in this case.
#2 is simply referring to a vehicle that doesn't require registration... therefore it cannot be "unregistered", but it certainly doesn't apply to a class C motorhome.
