Pay showers
We have been campers for many years. Until this year, we only found pay showers at state and national parks. Lately, however, it seems that we are running into many private campgrounds charging us.....

I agree. Not many USFS campgrounds have any showers. One I am familiar with is newly remodeled and just on the edge of the BWCA Wilderness. The showers are free for those with a paying campsite at the campground, but there is a fee for those coming out of the Wilderness who often take a shower before getting in their vehicle and heading home.
