Has anyone ever paid for two sites so they would be assured of some privacy or more room? At our favorite CG some of non electric sites are a bit close together so we will pay for two sites just wondering if anyone else does this.

Not all CG's will allow that and no public supported CG should. Many Govt controlled CG's say you must occupy the site. If you need more privacy pick a better or private CG that will allow it.

They only use water and electric for 1 rig.

We did it once with a big group and used it for the eating and hanging out spot. If I remember correctly it was supposed to be occupied by another friend that had to back out at the last minute and we all chipped in to pay him back, the cg never questioned it.I could see why they would say no if you wanted to reserve two spots and one camper. If it's a busy cg with lots to do and many ways to spend money they will want a camper and more people on that extra site.

I know a person that buys 5 spots where I have a seasonal so they have their privacy. They have done this for 5 years. Very nice people just like not having anyone close by.

This is a private campground and it works great for the owners as well. They only use water and electric for 1 rig.
