People never cease to surprise me
Kind of a long post but I had to share our weekend camping experience. I've never had one like this in my 10 years camping. I arrived at one of our local campgrounds mid morning Friday and the DW joined me after she got off work. Anyway I pull around the corner heading to the site we had reserved and right smack in the middle of the road is 3 kids oldest one maybe 4 setting playing right in the middle of the street. Now I understand it's a campground and kids play in the roads, I over look it and i'm always very cautious. They proceed to just set there and look at me all the while there parents are setting in front of the camper giving me a rather dumb look. Finally after setting there a couple of minutes one of the parents yells "are you wanting to get through"? :S
Finally the kids move enough to get buy, I back into our site which by the way is right next to our site. Okay i'm sure not going to let this spoil my weekend. They have there food tent set up about 3/4ths on our site as well as there pickup setting mostly on our site. Again I figure hey we have plenty of room let it go. Well anyway no other problems and later that night we're out under the awning enjoying the beautiful weather. The multifamily camping party decides to start a campfire. I don't think anything of it till I see one of the guys stand a few feet from the fire which is just getting started. He takes a big can of either lighter fluid or charcoal starter fluid and proceeds to shoot a big stream of it directly on the fire. I'm shocked it didn't come back in his face but it didn't. I am just thinking WOW it takes all kinds.
Well the DW and I turn in around 1030 while they just keep feeding the fire. About 330 our dog gets a sudden call of the wild and wakes me up to go for an urgent walk. I walk out the trailer door heading to the doggy walking area and low and behold one of the females in this party is squatting in the middle of the road with her pants down relieving herself. OMG I couldn't believe what I was seeing. I had decided at that time the next morning bright and early I was going to let the camp host in on some of this behavior.
I finish the dog walk and go back to bed and about 45 minutes later i'm woke up by trucks starting up and a lot of carrying on. I guess someone else saw the gal in the middle of the street that was still up and went and woke the camp host up. The host and LEO came and escorted the multifamily out of the park. I think everyone was glad to see them leave. The host stopped by our site the next day and told us they were banned from the park permanently. Some people just never cease to amaze me. :h
