People sure are getting petty with their park reviews

I thumbed through the recent reviews at campgroundreviews.com and noticed that several of the 1 star reviews were pretty dang petty. One was upset because they left their handgun in a cabin when they checked out and the park owner wasn't thrilled to have an unattended, loaded, firearm laying around. The poster went on to rant about they had a concealed carry permit and how the park's website didn't put they prohibited firearms in bold print, instead it was but one of a number of rules on their rule page. I don't know what having a carry permit has to do with leaving a weapon laying around since by definition it isn't being carried, but what do I know.
In another review, the reviewer was upset because they were asked to move their car off the grass. The reviewer went so far as to claim they measured how much they were on the grass and that amount was one inch. They neglected to post how much on the grass they felt was OK. Both of those parks otherwise had consistent excellent reviews. Is it just me or does it feel like people are becoming more self centered on a daily basis.
  • For the campground ones, I think some of them are newbies that took up camping this summer since they couldn't go to Disneyworld. So they expect all the campgrounds to be like visiting Disneyworld.

It's the American way, everything is the fault of someone else.
And, many people get up in the morning looking for something to whine about or something that offends them.

IMHO, that reviewer should of been withcing they left the firearm and never saw it again.
I don't have much issue with responsible gun owners, but do we need a rule about abandoning one?
As for the CCP, should the issue authority be notified?

I like the Amazon product bad reviews because the shipper was late getting something across the country. They have nothing to do with the product themselves.
  • I see similar types of reviews for all kinds of services and products. I was researching a bicycle-related component recently and one of the one star reviewers said they gave the item one star because the item didn't fit because it was made to work with a different setup (clearly identified in the item's title and description) and did work with what the reviewer had. Obviously, he/she ordered the wrong item. I'm not even sure why you would take the time to leave that type of review in the first place.

In a lot of these cases, it comes down to the "It's never my fault" people that are becoming more prevalent.
