What do you do about them? I seriously don't get the disrespect of some neighbors, fill me in so I understand. The culprits are both young and old. I tend to confront them.
How has that 'confront them' worked out for you?
Private CG, public CG, State/National/COE cgs.......there is SOMEBODY on 'duty'
Inform them and let them deal with the issue.
That's what 'camp hosts' get the big bucks for :B
In the mean time.....
I just spray them with my hose.
Not the dogs.....the owners. :p - toedtoesExplorer IIIRecently, a new neighbor moved in. They are renting and the owner won't let dogs in the house, so their dog is in the backyard at night and when they are gone. The dog would start barking at around 5:30 a.m. and keep it up until I let my dogs out back. Then the dogs would have a "chat" and it'd get quiet.
I didn't complain about the barking. Instead, I bought a kong toy. One day, I went out and started talking to the dog through the fence. The neighbor heard and came out. We talked about how nice the dog is. Then, as an afterthought, I said "you know, a friend bought my dogs a kong toy, but my little one is food aggressive so I can't let them play with it. Would you like it for your dog? I hear him playing with his food bowl in the morning and he might like something to play with during the day."
Well, she accepted the toy. We are friendly and get along great. And the dog doesn't bark all morning anymore.
While the kong toy may not work in your circumstance, the point is that often you can get a solution by simply approaching it differently. Most people will go on the defensive if you make a complaint (even if justified) against their own (kids, pets, work product, etc.). Instead, by trying to slip a solution in without mentioning the problem, you can often bypass that defensive stance and get resolution. - SidecarFlipExplorer IIII live in the country. No distractions except my coon hound barking....
- azrvingExplorerSome people are just stupid and as they say "You cant fix stupid". They are probably the same ones who dont pick up after their dogs. They're special, reglur ole people pick up.
- darsben1ExplorerIf in a private camp ground report it to management if all else fails remember Your place has wheels move away from the people
- TrackrigExplorer IIA lot of them have no idea how much their dogs bark. Not that that's an excuse, just the way it is.
Bill - GordonThreeExplorerStir the pot a little?
Dogs bark, children scream, drunkards bellow, diesels idle, etc.
The world is full of noises we have little control over. Don't like something then move... New location will have some other annoyance.
