If you want to go there, then yes. I was getting the TV signal from my laptop and the laptop was providing the video for the projector. The audio from the laptop went in to an FM transmitter and we had a small boombox right by our seats.
So yes, not loud enough to leave the site, especially when you turn the bass down.
I think you were trying to keep the entertainment contained and that's cool. We take an XM boom box with us camping. We like to listen to music at times when camping. We like to sit by the fire with the boom box 3-4' from us so only we can hear it. More power to you if you trying to contain the sound.
