Great pictures! Many years ago we used to travel between Havre and Eureka, MT to visit the grand parents (parents/brother & I were originally from Eureka). Can remember going over the garden Wall with those tall walls of snow in June. We always laughed at the "flatlanders" playing in the snow. The snow removal equipment is better now-a-days.

I dunno, I think those types of roads would give me mini anxiety attacks. =P

Holy Cow! We'll be there the 1st weekend of August. Hopefully, the snow will be gone one way or the other by then.

The latest opening of the full length of the road (except during WWII) was in 2011 - July 13th - Some photos of my drive across it that day.

We will be there a couple of weeks before you. We will try not to take the scenery with us. ;)

Going to be tough though.

Looks like they are making good progress this year. Maybe they'll open early.
