With our elite membership, we get 7 cents off/gallon using the RV Plus card. Whenever we find a flying j to stop at and to use, it's no higher priced than any other gas station in that area and definitely not 7 cents different. I am not going to drive all over town with a motorhome that gets 8mpg to just save a penny or two on a gallon of gas.
I don't know what the big deal is. Flying J, could just stop any kind of rewards program period and everyone would be out. They are partnering with Good Sam for it's members. For members this is a good thing. Especially those who would never bother to sign up for a rewards program, but will not automatically get it. Yes, there will be some who refuse to join Good Sam and will no longer use a Flying J (so they say). To each their own.
